Day 1: Alentejo Golden Plains and Bold Flavors
Your journey begins in the vast, sun-baked landscapes of the Alentejo. Known for its rolling golden plains, cork oak forests, and ancient olive groves, this region produces some of Portugal's most robust, rich, and aromatic wines. On this first day, you will visit a historic estate and an amazing winery called Mainova. Take a private guided walk through the peaceful vineyards, learn about the unique terroir, and indulge in an exclusive tasting of award-winning estate wines. Day 2:
From Alentejo to the North - Bombarral
Today you'll travel across some of Portugal's most remarkable wine landscapes. Your first stop is the peaceful Buddha Eden Garden, Europe's largest oriental garden, followed by a visit to Bacalhôa, where art, architecture and wine blend into a unique experience. Continue to the renowned Bairrada region for a premium wine tasting at Quinta do Encontro, famous for its elegant wines and striking contemporary architecture. End the day in Porto, Portugal's vibrant northern capital, ready to explore the legendary Douro Valley.
Day 3: The Douro Valley Terraced Hills and Legendary Ports
On the thrird day, the scenery transforms dramatically as you travel north to the breathtaking Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the oldest demarcated wine region in the world. Here, the majestic Douro River carves through steep, hand-built slate terraces that have been sculpted by generations of winemakers. You will visit a prestigious, family-run estate to learn the secrets behind the world famous Port wines and the region's increasingly celebrated dry reds and whites. After touring the historic cellars, you will enjoy a curated tasting featuring old tawnies and vintage reserves.
